Lightweight Metallic Tissue Shimmer Organza Designer Saree
Fabric & Color:
Fabric: It appears to be a Metallic Tissue Shimmer Organza. This fabric is prized for its lightweight, translucent quality and a subtle "glaze" that catches the light beautifully.
Color: The base is a sophisticated Mauve-Taupe (a greyish-purple) with heavy Gold and Silver Zari threadwork. The dual-tone effect gives it a very regal, festive look.
Work: It features a "Scalloped Border" with heavy floral embroidery (Zardosi or Resham style) and sequin highlights.
Washing & Care Tips
Since this fabric is delicate and the embroidery is heavy, it requires gentle handling to maintain its shine and prevent the threads from snagging.
Dry Clean Only (Recommended): Because of the metallic threads and heavy border, professional dry cleaning is the safest way to prevent the fabric from shrinking or the Zari from turning black.
Spot Cleaning: If you spill something small, dab it gently with a damp cloth and a drop of mild detergent. Never rub, as this will fray the delicate tissue fibers.
Avoid Machine Wash: The agitation of a washing machine will destroy the scalloped edges and tangle the embroidery.
Drying: If it gets damp, hang it on a padded hanger in a shaded, well-ventilated area. Never leave it in direct sunlight, as the metallic sheen can fade or "burn."
Ironing: Always iron on the reverse side using a "Silk" or low-heat setting. Use a thin cotton cloth (pressing cloth) between the iron and the saree to protect the sequins.
